Pierre likes sharing his knowledge of the cinema. He has written two books: La Fabuleuse Histoire du Cinéma parlant (The Fabulous Story of Talking Pictures), 1982, and L'esprit du Cinéma Muet, (The Spirit of Silent Films), 2008.
Both are very well illustrated with original pictures from his collection.
Movie posters exhibition
Every year the Château NODOT organises an exhibition of movie posters in August, showing the most beautiful of Pierre Allard's collection.
When visiting the exhibition don't forget to ask for a signed copy of the book L'esprit du Cinéma Muet (The Spirit of Silent Films)
on sale at Château NODOT.
Pierre Allard has had a passion for the cinema since he was ten years old. He started his collection when he was ten, and now he has 60,000 documents relating to the movies.
